What counts
Every number here is reported by the app itself, not estimated.
Charted Apps ranks App Store apps by verified growth. Every number comes from one of two sources, and this page says which.
A customer
A customer is a person RevenueCat first saw in the period being measured, reported by the app's own RevenueCat project through a read-only key its owner connected.
That is not a download, not an App Store Get, not an install, and not a free user who never reached the paywall. It is a person the app's own subscription infrastructure counted for the first time.
New customers, 28 days is the count over the last 28 days. The MoM figure beside it compares that window with the 28 days before it. When the earlier window is zero we show n/a, never an infinite percentage.
Verified
A listing is verified when a signed-in GitHub account connected a RevenueCat key that authenticates, and the RevenueCat project behind that key contains an App Store app whose bundle id is this listing's bundle id.
Both halves are required. A working key on its own proves somebody has a RevenueCat account; it says nothing about who owns the app. Matching the project's bundle id to the listing is what proves ownership.
Only verified listings rank. Everything else sits below a labeled break, findable and claimable, with no position and no numbers.
MRR
Monthly recurring revenue as RevenueCat reports it for the connected project, in the project's own currency converted to US dollars by RevenueCat. The MoM figure compares it with the MRR chart point about thirty days earlier.
What we never show
- Downloads, installs and App Store Gets. We have no access to them and we do not estimate them.
- Estimated or modelled revenue. Every figure on a ranked row was reported by the app's own RevenueCat project.
- Sandbox data. RevenueCat's charts are production-only by design, and a project with no production store app behind it never ranks and never earns a milestone.
- Anything paid for. Ads are labeled, sold by the week, and never appear in a ranked row.
Where the listing comes from
The name, subtitle, category, seller, price and rating count come from Apple's public iTunes Lookup, refreshed every six hours. Rating counts describe the listing, never the rank: they appear on a profile, and never on the board.
How a connected key is stored, what it can read, and how to revoke it: Security.
