Terms of Use

The rules of the board. What a claim is, what a published number means, what sponsorship does and does not buy, and the limits of what we promise.

Agreeing to these terms

These terms govern your use of Charted Apps at chartedapps.com, operated from Germany by Sorin-Ionut Curescu, whose full details are on the imprint. Using the site means accepting them. If you do not accept them, do not use the site.

What Charted Apps is

A public discovery board of App Store apps: who is adding RevenueCat customers, and who is earning. Reading it needs no account. Adding a listing needs no account. Ranking needs a claim, and a claim needs the app's own RevenueCat project.

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Apple, RevenueCat, GitHub or Stripe. App Store listing data is Apple's, published by Apple, and every app's name, icon and trademarks belong to its owner.

Adding a listing

Anyone may paste an App Store link, including for an app they do not own. What that creates is a public listing built from what Apple already publishes, with no growth figure and no rank, sitting below a labeled break as identity only. It is discovery, not a claim about the app.

Adding is rate-limited to 30 listings per address per day, and seeded listings come from Apple's own category charts. If your app is listed and you would rather it were not, tell us and it comes off.

Claiming, and who owns a claim

A claim exists when a signed-in GitHub account connects a RevenueCat v2 secret key that authenticates and whose project contains an App Store app with that listing's bundle id. Both halves are required. There is no reserve step, no pending state and no way to park on a listing whose project key you do not hold.

One claim per listing, held by one account. You keep it while the account exists: rotating the key, pausing reporting and hiding the listing all leave the claim where it is. If the app is sold or the company changes hands, write to us and we will move it; that is a conversation rather than a button, because a release-and-reclaim flow would be used by squatters far more often than by legitimate owners.

You are responsible for keeping your GitHub account secure, and for the key you connect being one you are entitled to connect.

What the numbers mean, and what they do not

Growth figures come from the owner's own RevenueCat project and are published as RevenueCat reported them, converted to US dollars by RevenueCat. Listing data comes from Apple's public lookup. We verify the binding between an account, an app and a project. We do not audit anyone's books, and a figure here is a report from a system, not an assurance from an accountant.

Full definitions are on What counts. Nothing on this site is investment advice, a valuation, or a basis for a transaction. If you are buying, lending against or investing in an app, do your own diligence.

Rank is not for sale

Rank is verified figures sorted by a published rule, identical for every visitor. No payment, sponsorship, relationship or request moves a row, and there is no paid tier that changes what is computed. If that ever changes, we will update this page first.

Sponsorship

A sponsorship buys time in a labeled spot, sold in windows of 7, 14 or 28 days, bought with a signed-in account through Stripe Checkout. Prices are shown before you pay and are gross: the listed figure is what you pay, with VAT backed out of it rather than added on top. Stripe sends the receipt.

  • Every spot is marked as sponsored, and every outbound sponsor link carries rel="sponsored nofollow".
  • Cancel any window that has not started from My spots and it is refunded and the slot freed. A window that has started or finished is not refundable, except where the law says otherwise.
  • Creative for an outbound spot is frozen at purchase. Destinations must be public https URLs, and we may refuse or remove creative that is unlawful, deceptive, adult, or impersonates somebody.
  • We do not promise a number of impressions or clicks. Every window gets a public receipt showing what it actually delivered.

Using the site properly

You agree not to:

  • Connect a key, claim a listing or buy a spot for an app you are not entitled to act for.
  • Submit figures or copy meant to mislead, including through a project set up to inflate them.
  • Scrape past the published rate limits, or work around them with multiple addresses or accounts.
  • Attack, probe or disrupt the site, or try to read data belonging to another account.
  • Use another company's name, icon or trademarks in a spot or a note without the right to.

Notes and portfolio text you write stay yours. By publishing them here you allow us to display them on the site and in the share cards and feeds that carry a listing, for as long as they are published.

Moderation

Anyone can report a listing from its profile, signed in or not, because the person best placed to say a listing is claimed by the wrong account is a founder who has not signed up yet. We may hide a listing, cancel a claim, refuse a spot or close an account that breaks these terms.

Hiding is not deleting: history stays where it is so shared links keep working. You may stop using the site whenever you like, and ask us to delete your account through the contact form.

Availability and change

The site is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind. We do not promise it is uninterrupted or error-free, that every listing can be fetched, that an upstream provider will keep answering, or that any figure is complete or fit for a particular purpose. We may change or withdraw features, and we will not break a public permalink to do it.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit, or lost data arising from your use of the site, and our total liability for any claim will not exceed what you paid us in the twelve months before it. Nothing here limits liability for intent, gross negligence, injury to life or health, or anything else that cannot be limited under German law. Statutory consumer rights are unaffected.

Law, and where a dispute goes

German law applies, without its conflict-of-laws rules. If you are a consumer in the EU you keep the protection of your own country's mandatory law and may bring proceedings where you live. For business users, the courts at our registered seat have jurisdiction. We are not obliged to take part in dispute resolution before a consumer arbitration board, and we do not.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The updated version is posted here with a new date at the top, and a change that materially affects owners or sponsors is emailed as well. Continuing to use the site after a change means accepting it.

If part of this fails

If any part of these terms is unenforceable, that part is limited to the minimum extent needed and the rest stands.
